Nike SNKR App Event Recap

Here is your Nike SNKR App event recap! The SNKRS app unveiled isn’t revolutionary by any means, and no permanent solution to bots, but the app does offer something that is interesting; the ability to be kept up to date with official Nike information however you choose.

The app allows users to set up notifications about the products they care about without the onslaught of all the other @NikeStore tweets Friday and Saturday mornings.

Nike SB Dunk High – White – Metallic Summit

Sneaker News is making sure all Nike SB fans know what to expect from Swoosh skateboarding next year, our recent previews of the summer 2012 lineup encompassing everything from new colorways to new models along with a wide array of clothing and accessories. And any time a new crop of SB sneakers is on the way, you know the most important model in the brand’s history is bound to pop up in multiple renditions, this new Nike SB Dunk High one of the most summery looking in the division’s decade-long run. We get a better sense in these sunlit images of the true colors at play here, with a white canvas base adding a leather Swoosh for a glossy contrast while the off-white toebox takes things where the rest of the shoe is destined. NIKE SB PAUL RODRIGUEZ 5 LR MINT / BLACK

The Paul Rodriguez 5 sneaker is gearing up to be one of the most versatile models to date, now featuring the Lunarlon insole and the Vulc treatment. Alongside this modelm the P-Rod 5 mid is set to receive the mint colorway as well for next summer.

Featuring an all suede upper, look for this release to hit mid 2012.

NIKE SB TAKASHI JANOSKI LOW - APRIL 2012 RELEASE

The original photos we saw of this release featured a suede mid panel, the new sample plays off the original colorway / inspiration of the Takashi Dunk Low (which also was featured as a P-Rod 1) with a leather instead. Look for these next year in April 2012.

Nike SB Dunk Low “Crown Royal” 2012

Nike SB and Alcohol have a long history together that started with the very first “Heineken” SB Dunk Low. Then after followed the “Tecate” and “Jagermeister” SB but in 2012, Another “Booze” inspired SB will be releasing, that features the “Crown Royal” Whiskey brand colorway. Nike SB Dunk High – Deep Burgundy – Purple

Had this summer’s ‘Plum’ redux on the Nike SB Dunk High been tagged with an ‘Un-’ prefix, would that make these the Un-un-Plums? Sorta sounds like a song lyric, and the above pictured Dunk High SB is indeed a sweet little ditty, a Deep Burgundy suede overlay riding a mauve leather base and white midsole sandwiched between black on the Swooshes and outsole. These stand out compared to some of the other Dunk High SBs slated for 2012 with their lack of tumbling or other ‘extra’ textures, but are indeed in line with Swoosh Skateboarding’s general push toward a baseline of simple yet satisfying, and above all, easily wearable colorways. Nike SB P-Rod V Mid Premium ‘Blackout’

Throughout his time in the spotlight, Nike SB team rider Paul Rodriguez has always professed a deep appreciation for Michael Jordan. We’ve seen his shoes pay homage to Michael in several ways, and while this blackout colorway for the Nike SB P-Rod V Mid may just seem like par for the course, it’s hard not to make the ‘Black Cat’ comparison. That’s not to say that the sneaker doesn’t stand on it’s own, with the premium construction looking elegant on this Lunar equipped skate shoe. The smoky suede of the ankle package and the swoosh bring the tiniest amount of a tonal look, showing up a bit lighter than the rest of the uppers. Nike SB Dunk Mid “Patagonia” Detailed Images

As we reach mid November, the Quickstrikes for December are making their way through skateboard shops like MIA and one of the latest drops they’ve received, is the Nike SB “Patagonia” Mid. Inspired by the historic backpack company, this Dunk Mid displays all things “Patagonia” with features similar to the materials that make up a “Patagonia” backpack. Nike SB TAUNTAUN DUNKS HIT THE SHELVES

The Nike Dunk High Premium SB medium grey/smoke cool grey, better known as the much-anticipated 'Tauntaun' Dunk, has arrived on the shelves in UK skate store Scene. These in-store only shoes should be hitting the stores in the US on Black Friday, so keep an eye on your local or the N-SB.org forum thread for further release info.

Nike SB Dunk Low – Matte Silver – Green | Summer 2012

If there has been an unifying theme amongst the Nike SB Dunk releases as of late, it would have to be the textured look that we’ve seen pop up again and again. From the Dark Oak Nike SB Dunk Highs to the two pairs of ‘Passport’ lows, it seems that someone over at Swoosh headquarters wants this crop of sneakers to be just as good to feel as they are to look at. The theme will extend well into next year with this upcoming Nike SB Dunk Low that we first showed you back in our comprehensive preview of the Summer 2012 season. We’re back with a detailed look, showing off the combo of pebbled uppers and a faux-snakeskin look on the swoosh that gives these a very reptilian feel. Nike SB Dunk Low “Tiffany” J-Pack

The Nike SB “Tiffany” has become the most talked about colorway since the “Golden Era” of Nike SB and since then, NSB heads have been praying for another “Tiffany” inspired colorway and that’s what they’ll be getting come June 2012. Releasing under the “J-Pack” series, is a “Tiffany” Colorway on the SB Dunk Low. This SB Features the “Tiffany” colorway, Black Suede upper and white midsole. Nov 14 · Nike SB Dunk High “Oak”

2011 was a great year for the Nike SB line and this Holiday season, we’ll be seeing a few more drops before the year ends. One of the newer colorways dropping in December, is the Nike SB Dunk High “Oak” that features an “Oak” or “Chocolate” colorway on the upper and pebbled panels. The brand’s backbone consists of designs like the Blazer and Dunk that’ve been around for decades; could the same hold true for Nike SB’s Zoom Koston 1? It might be unlikely to see a skater’s signature repeated for that long, especially when Paul Rodriguez has already set the bar at an annual product cycle, but there’s no denying the Koston One’s timeless appeal, especially in this classic summer colorway. This is one of those shoes that’s a particularly strong candidate for a boldly colored lace swap, but they can just as easily serve as a calming note amid your otherwise energetic summertime wardrobe.
