Air Jordan III – Black – Cement | Release Reminder

It’s time to exhale. The trifecta of Air Jordan IIIs in original colorways from 23 years ago is now complete. Tomorrow will be the official release date of the Air Jordan III ‘Black/Cement’, returning to us once again in the form that Tinker had intended (with the exception of the Jumpman branding on the heel). These were last seen in stores three years ago as part of the Air Jordan 3/20 Collezione Package and also in 2001 (the last time the Black/Cement III featured ‘Nike Air’ on the heel-tab), so if your rotation is missing these certified gems or your pair needs to be replaced, don’t hesitate to cop. It wouldn’t be to far-fetched to say that anyone who calls himself a fan of the Air Jordan MUST have these in their stash. If you don’t think these OG classics aren’t all that, find a new hobby. Cop the Black/Cements tomorrow at Jordan Brand retailers or to avoid the imminent Black Friday shopping crowd, get a pair now on eBay.

Air Jordan 1 Phat – Obsidian – Cool Grey – White

Is it baseball season already? This Yankees-inspired release of the Air Jordan 1 Phat, destined for a January 2012 release, is a nice reminder of fresh cut grass and tossing the ball around in the open field. And with the NBA lockout being as persistent as ever, we can’t wait for another professional sport to infiltrate our minds. C’mon, we need sports to stress about! But look beyond the colorway, and you’ll see that this Air Jordan 1 Phat has some nice materials, like a smooth leather upper (with a sick molded Jordan Wings logo on the ankle), a perforated base layer, and elephant print on the swoosh. These are a must-have for the overlapping group of Yankee and Jordan fans, so checkout the angles below and let us know what you think.

Nike Zoom KD IV ‘Nerf’ – Detailed Look

Kevin Durant is undoubtedly the most versatile player in the NBA. His ability to play multiple positions on the court is mirrored by the all-new Adaptive Fit system, which permits the Zoom-cushioned Nike Zoom KD IV to be a sneaker for players of all positions. Kevin Durant’s game is that of natural leadership and carrying the bulk of the load (two straight scoring titles and delving further into the NBA Playoffs every sesason is proof of that), but we’d like to remind you that Durant’s got a playful side about him – he’s just 22 years old! He’s active on Twitter, meaning he’s accessible to the masses, and he’s got no issues with donning gaudy chains and tribal gear as one of the original Nike ‘Hyperizers’ – even his Zoom KD III was partly designed after his love of video games.

And so, with the Nike Zoom KD IV scheduled for a wide release this December 3rd, Nike has teamed up with Hasbro to create a special pair of the Nike Zoom KD IV inspired by one of the generation-defining toys in this era – Nerf. The spongy toys that ran rampantly throughout the 1990′s returns alongside the Zoom KD IV, colored up in a high-energy assortment of neon tones and confetti-like detailing and packaged with a spongy Nerf mini-basketball with the box folding into a functional backboard and hoop. On the tongue you’ll see the classic Nerf logo as well as KD35 in the similar typefont for even more of a playful vibe. We’ve got a detailed look at the Nike Zoom KD IV ‘Nerf’ below, so check ‘em out and stick with Sneaker News for more updates and release info for undoubtedly the most exciting Nike Zoom KD release yet.

Nike Dunk High VT Premium – Medium Grey

A quick look back over the silhouette’s quarter-century of game-changing makes it seem more obvious, but it’s still impressive to consider the wide range of possibilities afforded by a VacTech constructed version of the Nike Dunk High. We’ve seen the Dunk High VT skinny and ‘standard’ in both suede and wool, in traditional cupsoles and a surprise AC edition that offered a different take on the vacuum-sealed look, in traditional smooth leathers and now this metallic pair whose detailed shading gives the illusion that they could be a special edition Monopoly piece for the 21st century. Luckily, they’re one heckuvalot more comfortable, and available right now at Nike Sportswear stockists including SNS.

Nike Air Max 95 – Black – Blue Crystal

When a new colorway of an Air Max 95 rolls around, it always garners a ton of attention. We all know what the shoe looks like, and it’s been around for over a quarter-century, but that’s just the nature of ‘the icon’ – it demands attention. Air Max 95s definitely fall in the category of ‘sneaker icon’, so even when a rather simple color combination surfaces, like this new Black/Crystal Blue, we find ourselves intrigued, as if we don’t know what to expect – like turning to the next page of a thrilling suspense novel. These are definitely worth the attention (it’s got that Air Penny effect), and JDSports has them available now (exclusive to them), so take a look below and let us know what you think.

Nike Air Griffey Max II – Black – White – Anthracite – Tour Yellow

After a quick break from the bright looks with the metallic dark grey release, the Nike Air Griffey Max II is back in familiar form with some nice hits of tour yellow as the color of choice this time around. Purists might snub the sneakers without a tie to a specific team Griffey played for, but that just means more for the rest of us. This top-notch retro release has been one of the most well received this year, with fans excited to finally pick up the missing pieces from their Griffey collections. Follow us after the jump for a full look at let us know if this black and yellow pair will find its way into your rotation. A Retrospective of Stussy Shoe Collaborations 1980-2011

Since the beginning, US brand Stussy have been the undisputed kings of streetwear, many even credit founder, Shawn Stussy, as the creator of the whole streetwear scene. Over the years they’ve collaborated with some of the top brands in footwear culture, from the likes of the big guns in the shape of Nike, adidas and New Balance, to smaller outfits like Dr. Martens and Palladium, each time working closely to produce capsule collections of footwear, apparel and accessories with many going on to become desirable collectors pieces.

To celebrate Stussy’s position within the genre, The Sneaker Museum in Cologne, Germany, have opened an exhibition entitled “A Retrospective Of Stussy Shoe Collaborations 1980-2011″ which, from what we can tell, showcases the majority of Stussy’s footwear collaborations over the recent years, including the more popular/well known releases like the Stussy x Nike Blazer Mid’s from 2002 and the Stussy x Vans Sk8 Hi “25th Anniversary” from ‘05, to more obscure treats like the Stussy x Nike Air Hurrache Lights from 2003.

For those lucky enough to be able to go to the exhibition, it’s open from now until early 2012.

A big shout out to Sneaker Freaker for the images.

Nike Air Jordan III Retro 'Cement'

For many, the Air Jordan III heralded a ‘golden age’ of Jordan releases when it first hit the shelves in 1988. In a year that saw the great Michael Jordan capture his second dunk title, win the NBA’s coveted Most Valuable Player and Defensive Player of the year awards, slamming his critics who’d long since labeled him an a strictly offensive player, it was the AJIII that broke boundaries and redefined the rules to what constituted the prefect basketball shoe.

Nike Blazer Vintage Premium - size? exclusive

Originally released in 1972, the Blazer was Nike’s first venture into the world of basketball footwear. It’s attention grabbing, oversized Swoosh, autoclave sole unit and distinctive styling quickly helped to affirm itself as the trainer of choice both on and off the court. 39 years on and the Blazer has successfully established itself as one of the most popular silhouettes from Nike’s back catalogue due to it’s simple, classic styling and a number of different colourway and material makeups.

Set to release exclusively at size? stores and online this Friday (25th) are these two new colourways in the Blazer Vintage Premium. Each one is constructed of premium tumbled leathers and limited to just 500 pairs.

Air Jordan 3 Retro “Mocha” Available on eBay

The Air Jordan Retro 3 “Mocha” goes down as one of the most memorable colorways in the Air Jordan 3 series. Originally released in 2001 at a retail price of $100, This Air Jordan 3 wasn’t as popular as the Air Jordan 3 Black / Cement or True Blue but still was accepted amongst Jordan connoisseurs as a new colorway. While we won’t be seeing this colorway anytime soon, You can still come across a few crisp pairs on ebay . Click Here to Cop Yours

Nike Air Foamposite One – Varsity Red – Black | New Images

For many pessimistic sneaker enthusiasts, the ‘Metallic Red’ colorway of the Nike Air Foamposite One seemed destined to remain in rumor mill purgatory for an eternity. Hopefully the naysayers are doing a 180 at this point, with pictures of this hot 2012 release finally popping up. Nike Dunk High AC VT – Max Orange

VacTech treatment has taken Nike Sportswear by storm, this time appearing on the auto-claved version of the Nike Dunk High. One unique aspect of VacTech treatment is that it gives a shoe a seamless, stitch-free appeal, which is precisely why tonal colorways have gone hand-in-hand with these releases. The Max Orange seen here only accentuates that smoothed-out appearance, but take a look at the rear heel panel and you’ll see that it isn’t molded in with the VT upper, but instead uses tumbled leather. Euro-retailer Asphalt Gold has these in stock right now so check out the images below and keep an eye out for these at select Nike Sportswear retailers soon.

Nike Total Air Foamposite Max ‘Blackout’ – Arriving at Retailers

These come in the wake of the Metallic Silver OG release that earned a more favorable reception in September than its previous retro drop a few years back; will the growing contingent of Foamposite fanatics make these a sellout even on a day when we expect an Air Jordan III Retro and the Entourage x Nike SB Dunk Low also in black-based colorways? Nike Air Max Uptempo 2 – Black – White – Dark Shadow

The Nike Air Max Uptempo 2 is the definitive mid-90′s basketball shoe. The high-cut profile, the aggressive outsole (darn near a work-boot compared to sexy and sleek lines seen in the Zoom Hyperdunk 2011), and the heel-cushioned Max Air piece are all trademarks of that era, and this simple colorway of Black, White, and Dark Shadow exemplifies the simpler nature of color-blocking of the past (no tonal Mint Green or Solar Red here). If you missed out the re-release of the ‘Duke’ colorway, don’t miss out on these because they’re likely to go fast! Take another peek below and hit up Nikestore to secure yours.

The Nike WMNS Dunk High Skinny VT Premium pictured above in Medium Grey suede is the first Skinny Dunk to join the vacuum-built group, and it could quite easily go down as one of the collection’s very best. Nike ACG Zoom Meriwether – Holiday 2011 Colorways

Is the Nike ACG Zoom Meriwether the best design from All Conditions Gear in years? The answer might have been a simple yes, were they released just a few years back, but in a time when the ACG lineup also includes recently debuted standouts like the Premium Boot and Lunar MacLeay, the decision’s not as easy. Add to that, six sick Zoom Meriwether colorways to choose from, and you’ve got some serious deliberation on your hands. Nike LunarEclipse+ 2

The Nike LunarEclipse+ ‘eclipsed’ prices of all Nike Lunar Running shoes by a whopping $35 (the highest-priced Lunar running shoe was $100), and still stands as the highest-priced Nike Lunar running shoe (if you’re not counting the Shield edition of the model, which is $140). Supreme comfort, sick styling – many fans of Nike running shoes deemed it money well spent, so how will its sequel be received? Here’s a look at the Nike LunarEclipse+ 2, previewed at the nike Running House Warming event in late October; it features the same LunarLon cushinoing with the seamless mesh/thin-skin upper, but now features the light-weight mid-foot lockdown harness seen in many current Nike releases, like the LunarGlide+3 and even the LeBron 9. These three colorways were part of that impressive preview, so take a look below and let us know what you think the LunarEclipse+ 2 design, and stick with Sneaker News for release updates. via p4000.

NSW x LeBron James Collection – Available

Presumably among the key factors guiding LeBron James’ decision to join the Miami Heat last summer would be that winters in South Beach are a bit milder than the lake-effect snow-filled cold half of the year in Cleveland. But with 41* away games guaranteed each year and a litany of opportunities to hop on a private jet, a guy like King James has gotta be prepared for all environs, and for that this new Nike Sportswear collection seems a perfect fit. Nike Air Flytop – Iguana – Red

The Nike Air Flytop is a sneaker that seems to walk the line between a host of Nike Sportswear models, pairing the stripped down look of the Nike Air Royal Mid with the strapped up sensibilities of the Nike Vandal. The result is a sneaker whose aesthetics belie its young age, as it could easily be mistaken for a classic set to be reborn through a retro release. The latest colorway we’ve got a look at stays in line with the darker motif, the upper carrying a mix of browns on the strong sections of leather and suede, with the red relegated to the outsole. Cristiano Ronaldo x Nike Street Gato CR7

While his name might not ring bells here in the US the same way it does in the rest of the world, you oughta know who Christiano Ronaldo is. Nike has partnered up with Ronaldo on a new collection that runs from high end soccer gear to more street ready sneakers. Our pick from the pack is the Nike Street Gato CR7, a special reworking of the indoor soccer shoe that gets the full Ronaldo treatment. Inspired by his affinity for clean white designer sneakers, this pair goes with a set of milky tones on the upper along with some black and red hits to tie in with his Real Madrid uni. Get some up close shots of the sneaker after the jump and let us know if you’ve been feeling the Nike Street Gato releases in the comments.
