A Retrospective of Stussy Shoe Collaborations 1980-2011
Since the beginning, US brand Stussy have been the undisputed kings of streetwear, many even credit founder, Shawn Stussy, as the creator of the whole streetwear scene. Over the years they’ve collaborated with some of the top brands in footwear culture, from the likes of the big guns in the shape of Nike, adidas and New Balance, to smaller outfits like Dr. Martens and Palladium, each time working closely to produce capsule collections of footwear, apparel and accessories with many going on to become desirable collectors pieces.
To celebrate Stussy’s position within the genre, The Sneaker Museum in Cologne, Germany, have opened an exhibition entitled “A Retrospective Of Stussy Shoe Collaborations 1980-2011″ which, from what we can tell, showcases the majority of Stussy’s footwear collaborations over the recent years, including the more popular/well known releases like the Stussy x Nike Blazer Mid’s from 2002 and the Stussy x Vans Sk8 Hi “25th Anniversary” from ‘05, to more obscure treats like the Stussy x Nike Air Hurrache Lights from 2003.
For those lucky enough to be able to go to the exhibition, it’s open from now until early 2012.
A big shout out to Sneaker Freaker for the images.
