On December 1, Nike and (RED) will honor World Aids Day by releasing an exclusive selection of Nike Sportswear products under the (PRODUCT) RED™ banner.
(RED) seeks to combat the effects of HIV/AIDS in Africa, engaging the private sector in raising awareness and funding for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. Companies, such as Nike, whose products take on the (PRODUCT) RED™ mark contribute a significant portion of the profits from these products to the Global Fund.
The Nike Sportswear (PRODUCT) RED™ Collection features three pinnacle items from the Holiday 2011 line, all retooled in red colorways. The NSW Melton Destroyer (PRODUCT) RED™ features red melton wool with leather sleeves and bonded zippers. The NSW Cheyenne Backpack (PRODUCT) RED™ features waterproof construction in a red/black colorway. Finally, the Nike Zoom Meriwether (PRODUCT) RED™ features the original NIKE (PRODUCT) RED™ laces on a great black/red colorway.
The Nike Sportswear (PRODUCT) RED™ Collection releases on December 1, at select Nike Sportswear accounts and global Nike Stadium locations.
