THE LATEST NIKE AIR MAX 1 CITY COLLECTION GOES FLORAL
You’ve never seen Floral done quite like this. Nike Sportswear’s latest Nike Air Max 1 “City Floral” Collection will be available stateside on April 11th, 2015. Inspired by the fashion capitols of New York City, Tokyo, Pairs, London, Milan, and Shanghai, each of Tinker Hatfield’s 1987 classics feature a pairing of two flower prints joining together in an effort to define each city. New York gets a noire-ish black and white palette, Paris sees an Aunt Pearl-like pink and blue spring motif, Tokyo is represented by cherry blossoms and roses in a fitting royal blue, and so on. Earlier today, we saw a trio of three brand new Nike Air Max 1s headed our way in a reference to the US Marine Corps. Each featured a premium canvas construction to match the sturdy nature of various military garb, but now NikeLab has given us an official confirmation that the trio will be apart of a Nike Air Max 1 “Patch” collective. The mysterious Instagram post showcased 22 patches, each featuring stitching nodding at different cities and dates. We aren’t too sure whether a full 22 set will come with each sneaker purchase or whether it depends on the NikeLab you found your pair at, but the military theme is exciting nonetheless. Introducing the Nike KD 7 “Easter”. Kevin Durant’s latest holiday-themed sneaker will arrive at retailers on March 19th, 2015. The shoe takes on a surprising camouflage on the heel given the heel. The fact that a KD 7 once again sports a print isn’t surprising, but it’s the jarring contrast of the militaristic aesthetic getting hit with a pastel candy coded array of Flash Lime and Pink that stands out.
